Past chastotali filtrlar yuqori chastotali signalning kesish chastotasidan past chastotali signalga nisbatan zaiflashuv darajasini ifodalovchi turli zaiflashuv tezligiga ega bo'lishi mumkin.Zaiflash tezligi odatda desibellarda (dB) ifodalanadi, masalan, 20dB/oktava har bir chastotada 20dB zaiflashuvni bildiradi.
